Hey Gang,
I want to thank everyone who contributed to this year's wonderful fundraiser supporting The John Kerr Foundation on October 9th at the Alameda Yacht Club. We should all be proud that we helped enrich the lives of those living with muscular dystrophy. For the second year this event was a tremendous success. I’m also proud to announce that we raised several thousand dollars for this worthy cause.
The BBQ dinner and appetizers were fantastic. Sandi and The Rockerfellers showcased their musical talents which added to the spirit of the event. And we had a mobile cigar lounge to spice things up... complete with leather couches and big screen TVs. It was also a pleasure to see the local newspaper include a nice article about the event. But for me, the highlight of the event was the scholarship presentation of $1,000.00 given to Jade Theriault.
Special thanks also go out to these individual people that made this event possible. I would like to thank Terry, Cindy, Steve, Jane, Tom, Dee, Wendy, Barbara, Tony, Peg, Cheryl, Doug, Shelley, Darlene, John, Jack, Scott, Evelyn, Rebecca, Jay, Nicole, Erich, Sue, Kevin, Sandi and The Rockerfellers, my sisters Kate and Mag, and John Kerr. Without their help, this event would not have been the same. Please forgive me if I forgot anyone.
